Lupe Flores has nearly three decades of dedicated experience in the janitorial and maintenance industry, so he is definitely a guy both customers and coworkers can trust for the best answers to many related questions. He says what he loves most about working at United Building Maintenance is the opportunity to use his experience and knowledge to give other people the opportunity to be more successful.

Lupe started working as a janitor in 1991, before moving into window and flooring services. He joined United in 2004, cleaning floors, before being promoted to Senior Supervisor, where he served as a teaching mentor for United employees. His work in that position earned him a promotion to Night Operations Manager.

Today, Lupe’s responsibilities include making sure all overnight operations run smoothly and effectively, and that every client is happy with their service. Lupe says open communication and fairness are very important, because trust is the foundation of his success and the overall success of the company. “If you want people to trust you, they need to know you care. The best way to do that is to take the time to listen to them. As a supervisor, they may come to me with something about work or something personal, and I want them to know I am there for them, to help any way I can.”

Away from work, Lupe enjoys spending time with his wife, Maricela, and their three children. “I’m pretty quiet… A family man who enjoys cooking, wants to do a good job, and loves to help people. That’s me.”
